Patent Wines Sauvignon Blanc 2022 (750ml)

Winemaker Notes

Aromas of lemon/lime and honey suckle with a touch of vanilla and tropical notes. Lime zest and juicy acidity, ripe flavors linger on the palate. Finishes with a charming touch of nutmeg.

Among the most refined and interesting Sauv Blancs I\’ve tasted out of California all year, this was clearly based on superb grapes, as 40% new French oak barely registers as a distinct element. The wine shows expressive notes of white melon, ripe apple, and orchard fruit, with just a touch of appealing raw-almond bitterness on the finish.

The 2022 Sauvignon Blanc is lightly hued, with a bright, juicy, medium-bodied style as well as some sappy herbs and citrus-driven fruits. It\’s nicely balanced and clean, with bright acidity and a great finish.
