This batch is a testament to their unwavering commitment to traditional methods, including the increasingly rare practice of hand-mashing mature Madrecuixe (Agave karwinskii) using machetes and wooden hammers. This technique is largely lost in the Miahuatlan region.

The unique terroir of Miahuatlan, with its calcium-rich soil and well water, imparts a distinct minerality to this exceptional spirit. Fermented in cypress tanks with only well water and double-distilled in a copper alembic still, this Madrecuixe offers a delicate yet complex flavor profile that speaks to the land and the Prez family\’s dedication.
