This Extra Aejo is a crowning achievement, showcasing the distinctive terroir of Tamaulipas, the only state outside of Jalisco legally permitted to produce tequila. This magnificent expression is aged for an extended period, often five to six years, in carefully selected oak barrels, including ex-bourbon and Scotch white oak casks. This long, patient maturation allows the finest characteristics of the slow-roasted agave to meld with the depth and complexity of the wood, resulting in a spirit of profound elegance.

Tasting Notes

• Color: Deep, lustrous amber with brilliant copper highlights.
• Aroma: Highly complex and inviting. Dominant notes of rich, dark caramel, toffee, and toasted oak give way to subtle hints of dried fruit (fig and cherry), vanilla bean, and a beautiful underlying note of baked apple and smoke.
• Palate: Velvety and full-bodied, with incredible depth. The persistent sweetness of cooked agave and a savory, earthy minerality beautifully balance the flavors of dark chocolate, butterscotch, and spicy cedarwood.
